Veterinary health care has a wide variety of preventive and curative products. Despite the effectiveness of these products, veterinarians and agriculture companies are demanding additional means to deal with health deficiencies.

Farm@nutrition translates scientific research into practically useful products. So the insight was made to use periodically or continuously special products to maintain optimal health of the animals. Experience tells us this approach is far more cost effective compared to production losses, curative medication and mortality caused by outbreak of diseases.

This is not about some kind of preventive medication, but specialized nutritional support. Managers in livestock sector know that disorders of the digestive and/or immune system of their animals can quickly lead to significant economic losses. By the use of the correct products (in the drinking water), it is possible to keep the assimilation capacity of the intestines on a high level, which makes it possible for the animals to process large quantities of feed with maximum efficiency.

When selecting new applications, there is only 1 primary condition: 100 % safety!

  • no risks and side effects, even at very high overdoses
  • no residuals in animal products and/or environment
  • external quality monitoring system (FCA)
  • continuous monitoring of the laws on animal feed
  • selective use of ingredients according the European Register of Feed Additives EC1831/2003 and updates

Farm@nutrition is continuously engaged in numerous experiments in cooperation with agriculture companies. As such, new applications are being screened and evaluated in real conditions. Special attention always goes to bot animal welfare and user friendliness of the applications.

1) F@N is limited in de choice of the raw materials to the EU Register Additives (Community Register of feed additives + Annex II - EC 1830/2003, latest revisions) of the European Commission, DG Health and Food Safety.
2) Implementation of the Belgian legislation, traceability and risk analysis is done in accordance with the Auto-Control Guide Feed of the FAVV (Federal food safety agency).
3) Production, storage and distribution are certified and are organized in accordance with the FCA specifications of Ovocom (Feed Chain Alliance).
